MadDirtMonkey is a one-person workshop channel run by Lloyd. This page explains what happens to the little data this website collects. The short version is that I only want your email so I can tell you when the shop opens.

Your email address

If you use the "Notify me" form, I store your email address, and nothing else, so I can email you when the shop opens. I won't sell it, share it or use it for anything else.

• Why: you asked to be told. You can change your mind at any time.
• Where: in the website's database, hosted by Neon in London, UK.
• How long: until you ask me to delete it, or until the shop has launched and I no longer need it.

Every email I send will include a way to unsubscribe. If I start using an email service to send them, I'll name it here first.

Cookies and tracking

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie it sets is a login cookie for me when I'm editing the site.

I use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't store your IP address. It records the page you visited, the site that sent you here, your browser, operating system and device type, and your country. To avoid counting the same visit twice, it tells visits apart using a code that resets every day, so it can't recognise you over time or across other websites. I only ever see the totals.

YouTube videos

Videos on this site are embedded from YouTube. The player only loads when you press play, and it uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). After you press play, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect data under Google's privacy policy.

Hosting

The website runs on Vercel. Like any web server, it briefly logs technical details such as your IP address to keep the site secure and working.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data I hold about you, or ask me to stop using it. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

To ask about your data, get in touch through any of the links at the bottom of this page.

When the shop opens, this page will be updated to explain how orders and payments are handled.
